A couple of months ago I was at my parent’s home and my mother was working on fixing up the house and insisted I needed to take at least one piece of furniture with me. Now, my place here is teeny tiny, and at first I objected, but there was this one desk/shelf thing that I remembered fondly from when it was my grandmother’s. Nothing fancy and it would fit. Problem is, not quite my style.
Disregard the mess. Anywho, this past weekend I finally got around to making it look spectacular. Sanded it, primed it, painted it, and even took a trip to Anthropologie to get new knobs. It was the most expensive part of this whole desk, but I just love that store. Someday I’ll be able to afford more than just a few drawer pulls too!
Anyways, I had an awful time trying to decide which pretty knob to get. There were so many to choose from!
After calling CBear for his design expertise, I finally settled on these:
Then, a few coats of paint and new drawer pulls later, I had this!
Overall, a piece that now fits my room much better and much more meaningful than a kit from Target. I might have to do this more often! (and that would give me an excuse for another trip to Anthropologie)
